A personal view
I have suffered with eczema since i was 5 years old. At 36 I have had a long time to find what aggrevates and releaves my condition. Certain washing powders have been known to cause me such irratation that a course of steriods was the only solution. Non-Biological washing powder for me was a real breakthrough.
Using an electric shaver rather than wet shaving, all but cured me of eczema on the face as an adult.
Keeping cool and trying to stick to cotton clothing in the summer also works for me, however, ironically, exposure of my skin to the sun seems to clear any eczema patches up better than any creams or ointments that I have ever tried.
Unlike some people, my condition does not seem to be food allergy related (dairy products most commonly)
Another breakthrough was the purchase of a watch with a titanium back and strap which relieved years of discomfort from stainless steel equivalents.
There are many more which I will post at a later date. Hope the above helps.
